PaRDeS is a fourfold method of interpretation used in Jewish thought to uncover the literal, allegorical, homiletic, and deeper meanings embedded within Scripture. This study explores how the New Testament (NT) quotes and applies the Hebrew Bible’s Old Testament prophecies using the Pshat (Simple), Remez (Hinted), Drash (Exposition), and Sod (Hidden/summation) levels of understanding.
