Man charged in Grand Traverse County

A Lewiston man was arraigned on seven felony charges after deputies said he held a man and woman at gunpoint on a nature trail in Grand Traverse County. Joseph Hofer was charged with seven counts Wednesday by video from the Grand Traverse County Jail. Hofer told the court he was working as a Door Dash driver before his arrest. Hofer was given $250,000 cash bond. Officials plan to send Hofer to a locked mental health facility for treatment prior to his next court hearing, according to the court.
