A Mission of Fostering Inter-generational Connections
The mission of UNISON is to foster intergenerational connections to increase self-sufficiency and well-being of children, families and older adults in the community. Since November is National Family Caregiver’s Month, UNISON President Laurie Lambach joins us to talk about their Family Caregiver Support Network and the resources, financial and otherwise, that are available to unpaid caregivers throughout our community. Whether you are caring for an elder with dementia or a younger person with a physical disability, or you are a grandparent who has become the main caregiver for a grandchild, help is just a phone call away. To apply for free family caregiver support, please call (414) 220-8600 or contact Program Manager Vevette Hill-Nwagbaraocha at vhill@unisonmke.org.
