CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran is an American Patriot, a proud veteran, and an unwavering advocate for those who have sacrificed for our country. Their passion for service is deeply rooted in military experience, a commitment to supporting veterans, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.

CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran proudly served eight years as a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy and 13 years as a Captain in the U.S. Army National Guard. During their time in service, they were the Executive Officer to the Director of Operations in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), where they were awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for their contributions. Their military career instilled a profound respect for fellow service members and a deep sense of duty to the country.
After retiring from the Army, CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran continued their career in public service with the Town of Oyster Bay, working their way up to Inspector Supervisor. As an active member and qualified Shop Steward of Local 881 of CSEA, they have been a strong advocate for union protections and workers' rights.

In 2022, CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran ran for Congress in New York’s 2nd Congressional District, coming extremely close to defeating one of the eight Republicans who voted to establish the January 6th Committee. That campaign reinforced their belief that true leadership requires standing up for the will of the people, not the interests of career politicians.

CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran has devoted much of their life to supporting those who have been left behind, particularly veterans. They are the founder of the Veteran Recovery Coalition and the Memorial Day Food Drive for Less Fortunate Families of Suffolk County. Their mission began after witnessing the mistreatment of a disabled homeless veteran who was harassed while working for a local municipality. The utter disregard for his service and sacrifice deeply affected CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran and inspired their commitment to advocacy. Through these initiatives, they have been able to rally patriotic Long Islanders to support homeless and substance-dependent veterans, ensuring they receive the respect and resources they deserve.

For two years, CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran) hosted a weekly radio talk show, providing a platform for discussions on veteran homelessness, substance dependence, and other critical issues affecting the community. The program helped raise awareness and connect people with the resources they needed, further amplifying the work CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran has dedicated their life to.

Currently, CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, US Army (Ret)/Navy Veteran serves as the National President of Veterans for America First, a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans, law enforcement, and America-first policies.
