And let’s be clear—SpaceX wasn’t just some backup option. It’s the only reason we still have a manned space program at all. But instead of celebrating the fact that private industry and government worked together to get them home, what does Senator Mark Kelly—himself a former astronaut—do? Instead of acknowledging the success, instead of saying ‘Hey, this is a great example of what America does best,’ he goes after Musk. Petty, small-minded, and completely predictable."
