Utah Legislators, Businesses Admit Hiring Illegal Aliens Is Rampant (2025)

Utah legislators and businesses outright acknowledging knowingly hiring illegal aliens (and breaking US law). The clips are from two days of hearings regarding 2025 HB 214 (https://le.utah.gov/~2025/bills/static/HB0214.html) which would address using E-Verify in the state.
Several industry representatives note the pervasiveness of hiring illegal aliens. Rep. Nguyen implies that it preferable to hire illegal aliens to fill jobs than to change laws to allow for legal workers that will also prevent child ID theft.
Rep Kyle politely calls out legislators: "This is a very interesting conservation. I don’t know how many bills we have where we talk about openly being lawless...we give the bird to the federal government".
