What you want to do is add the correct Primary and Secondary Category. First, you need to open up a Chrome Extension called GMB Everywhere. This one is going to help you find the categories used by top businesses in your industry.

All you do is type in your service and location. So something like "Boilers London" and you start seeing all the top competitors in your industry and the categories they use. Now just click the category finder and you can see the primary category that your top competitor is using and below that you can see all the additional categories.

For example, if you see a category like central heating services is being used a lot by boiler companies in London, that means it should be your main category too. GMB Everywhere will even show you how many times that category is searched per month. It'll also show you related categories that you can add if they apply to your business. Now, just add the primary category and the nine secondary categories in your Google Business Profile, and you will see your Business Profile rank in the map pack in no time.
