Vaira Fort, also known as Maharaja Pratap Singh Fort, is located in Bharatpur district and is a symbol of the valor of the Jat rulers. It emerged as an important strategic center in the 18th century.

Establishment:
This fort was built by Raja Badan Singh, a descendant of the Jat kings of Bharatpur, which he gave to Pratap Singh, the second eldest of his 26 sons.
History:
It is said that Mughal rulers Babur and Jahangir also stayed in this fort, the room where Jahangir stayed is today known as 'Salim Mahal'.
Structure:
The outer rampart of the fort is very high and strong, which provides protection.
Cannon:
This fort had one of the largest cannons in the world.
Other:

In 1971, the remains of a Jain temple and a statue of Chakraeshwari Devi were found here, which dates back to the 10th century.

Treasure:
Some people believe that there is a treasure hidden inside the fort, which belongs to Kuber, the god of wealth, but this treasure remains a mystery.

British invasion:
The British attacked this fort 13 times, but they could not penetrate the fort.
