U.S. ARMY GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON UPON TAKING CONTROL OF BERLIN IN 1945 said”WE DEFEATED THE WRONG ENEMY”

On September 22, 1945, Gen.George S. Pattontells reporters that he does not see the need for this "denazification thing and compares the controversy overNazism to a Democratic and Republican election fight. The Germans are the only decent people left in Europe. If It's a choice between them and the Russians, I prefer the Germans"

After the war, while stationed in Germany, he criticized the process of denazification, or the removal of former Nazi party members from positions of political, administrative and governmental power.

Not long after this in December 1945 he suffered a broken neck in a car accident caused by a two-and-a-half-ton U.S. Army truck and died less than two weeks later at the age of 60..🤨
