Our journey through Sri Lanka is slowly coming to an end, with our stay in Unawatuna in the South of the country. Here, we are exploring more of the golden beaches of Sri Lanka and encountering, much to our surprise, turtles in the water! After enjoying a stunning sunrise at Unawatuna, we walked along Dalawella Beach & climbed the Frog Rock. We are wandering through Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and are taking an unexpected adventure on our last day, encountering cute monkeys, beautiful landscapes & a unique Temple at sunset near Jungle Beach.

Unawatuna is a tropical paradise known for its stunning beaches. Its blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and vibrant atmosphere make it an easy destination for both relaxation and exploration.

This place felt way more touristy than Hiriketiya, Dikwella and other parts of the country, with many hipster cafes, trendy restaurants, beachside bars and clubs. We still enjoyed our time here immensely, since it's all about what you make of your stay and what you want to experience!
