Ragefire Chasm Walkthrough with DrShiftsAlot - The Power to Destroy... (WoW Classic)

Welcome to my Ragefire Chasm (RFC) walkthrough! I’m DrShiftsAlot, your shapeshifting druid guide, here to help you conquer Horde’s first dungeon in World of Warcraft Classic. RFC is located in Orgrimmar’s Cleft of Shadow (coordinates ~52, 50), ideal for levels 13-18 (minimum entry level 10). This guide focuses on the Undercity quest "The Power to Destroy..." while covering all five RFC quests. Follow these steps to clear the dungeon and claim your rewards!
Step 1: Quest Pickup
Preparation: You’ll need a group—1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS (I’m a level 15 druid). All quests are Horde-only, available at level 9.

Undercity: Visit Varimathras in the Royal Quarter (inner circle, near the throne). Accept "The Power to Destroy..."—your goal is to loot Spells of Shadow and Incantations from the Nether from Searing Blade cultists inside RFC.

Orgrimmar:
Thrall in Valley of Wisdom (northwest, inside the big hut) gives "Hidden Enemies"—kill Bazzalan and Jergosh.

Neeru Fireblade in Cleft of Shadow (near the RFC portal) offers "Slaying the Beast"—loot Taragaman the Hungerer’s heart.

Thunder Bluff: Rahauro on Elder Rise (southeast mesa) hands out "Testing an Enemy’s Strength" (kill 8 Ragefire Troggs and 8 Shamans) and "Searching for the Lost Satchel" (find Maur Grimtotem).

Step 2: Entering Ragefire Chasm
Location: From Orgrimmar’s Drag, head south to the Cleft of Shadow. Look for the lava-lined ravine—RFC’s portal (orange vortex) is at the bottom, coordinates ~52, 50.

Action: Group up and step through the portal. You’re now inside RFC, a fiery cave network!

Step 3: First Room - Troggs and Oggleflint
Objective: Clear the initial chamber and a side cave.

Main Room:
Enemies: Ragefire Troggs (melee, 60-80 damage) and Shamans (cast firebolt, 50-70 damage).

For "Testing an Enemy’s Strength": Kill 8 Troggs and 8 Shamans. Tank pulls packs of 2-3, focus Shamans first to stop their casts. Watch for patrols from the left—pull back if needed.

Side Cave: Red**: Head right to a small cave (northeast nook on the map). Face Oggleflint (level 15 Trogg boss) guarding Maur Grimtotem’s corpse, with 2 elite Trogg adds.

Action: For "Searching for the Lost Satchel", CC one add (e.g., polymorph), tank Oggleflint, and DPS the free Trogg, then the boss. Click Maur’s corpse to get "Returning the Lost Satchel" for turn-in later.

Step 4: Taragaman the Hungerer
Location: Move forward to the “X”-shaped intersection (central map point)—a cross with lava tunnels.

Objective: Defeat Taragaman the Hungerer (level 16 fiery ogre) on the central platform, guarded by 2 Searing Blade Cultists.

Action: Pull Cultists left (west tunnel), kill them (50-60 damage each). Tank Taragaman facing away—watch his Fire Nova (30-50 fire damage, 5-yard radius) and knockback. Spread out, DPS fast, and loot his heart for "Slaying the Beast".

Step 5: Bazzalan and Cultist Clears
Location: Take the left tunnel from the “X” (southwest passage), curving to a ramp on the right (upper southwest ledge).

Objective: Kill Searing Blade Cultists and Warlocks for "The Power to Destroy..." books, then defeat Bazzalan.

Action: Tank pulls packs of 3—focus Warlocks (40-60 shadow bolt damage). Loot Spells of Shadow (rare drop). Up the ramp, face Bazzalan (level 16 satyr) with 2 adds. Trap one add, tank Bazzalan (70-90 melee), stun the other, and kill him for "Hidden Enemies".

Step 6: Jergosh the Invoker
Location: Down the ramp to the final chamber (northwest map end)—a large room with lava pools and a back ledge.

Objective: Defeat Jergosh (level 16 orc) and loot the second book.

Action: Face Jergosh with 2 adds—polymorph one, tank Jergosh (casts shadow bolt, 50-70 damage), kill the free add, then him. Loot Incantations from the Nether (rare drop) from a nearby Warlock for "The Power to Destroy..." and complete "Hidden Enemies".

Step 7: Quest Turn-In and Rewards
Exit: Hearthstone or run back to Orgrimmar.

Turn-Ins:
Undercity: Varimathras—"The Power to Destroy..." rewards Ghastly Trousers (or other leggings), 1,450 XP.

Orgrimmar: Thrall—"Hidden Enemies" (Kris of Orgrimmar option); Neeru—"Slaying the Beast".

Thunder Bluff: Rahauro—"Testing an Enemy’s Strength" and "Returning the Lost Satchel" (Featherbead Bracers).

Final Tips
Stick with your tank to avoid pulling extra mobs.

CC is key for Oggleflint, Bazzalan, and Jergosh fights.

Loot every cultist—book drops are RNG-based, so clear thoroughly.
