Drum and Bass Mix 61(Electronic Music / DJ Mix) by TechNoSoul

The History of Drum and Bass (DnB) traces its origins to the UK in the early 1990s, evolving from the vibrant rave scene and the sounds of breakbeat, jungle, and hip-hop. Rooted in a desire for faster tempos, heavy basslines, and complex drum patterns, DnB was a response to the growing demand for high-energy, underground dance music that could move both the body and the mind.

In the beginning, jungle music played a central role in shaping DnB. With artists like Goldie, LTJ Bukem, and Shy FX, the genre blended the sampled rhythms of breakbeats with influences from reggae, dub, and soul, incorporating fast-paced drums and basslines that hit hard and fast. The early days of DnB were heavily defined by the use of the Amen break—a drum loop from the song "Amen Brother" by The Winstons—which became one of the most iconic and widely used samples in drum and bass music.
