Following the recent talks in Jeddah and the American proposal for a ceasefire on the front lines, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has condemned Russia for stalling yet another week, prolonging a war that only Russia desires.

"We will do everything to further intensify diplomacy. We will do everything to make diplomacy effective. But every day now is about defending our independence, our state, and our people," Zelenskiy stated.

He emphasized that the support of Ukraine’s military and defense forces remains the determining factor in securing the country’s future. He expressed deep gratitude to all Ukrainian soldiers, military units, and citizens actively contributing to the nation’s defense, whether by serving on the front lines or supporting through fundraising efforts.

"I thank each and every one who does not forget that Ukraine’s defense and resilience are paramount. I am grateful to all Ukrainian soldiers, every one of our units. I thank everyone who works for our defense and for our state. I thank all Ukrainians for every fundraiser for our Ukrainian army," Zelenskiy said.

Despite diplomatic efforts, Zelenskiy made it clear that as long as Russian forces remain on Ukrainian soil and air raid sirens continue to sound, Ukraine must persist in its defense. His remarks underscore the ongoing urgency of military and international support as Ukraine fights for its sovereignty.
