LP Podcast Clip: Virtue Signaling is Nothing New

The self-righteous social media posts, the yard signs, the lapel pins and buttons. If those more subtle ways won't do, there are more elaborate ways: long video blog posts with lengthy screeds on some subject, declaring oneself an “ally” to some real or imaged marginalized group, or condemning some supposed oppressor group. Large groups can gather together for some communal virtue signaling as participants or onlookers at a parade. People will do a lot to let others know just how virtuous they are.
