Kari Lake: "Yes. You know, after December, when President Trump asked me to lead Voice of America, I started investigating. And the deeper I looked, the more corruption I discovered. So when I was appointed as a senior advisor, I quickly realized that I needed to bring a team with me—almost a forensic team. Because in a way, it almost feels like a crime scene.

From day one, I brought in some people from Doge, and we expanded the team. We also have an incredible lawyer with us, and we are reviewing every aspect of what has been happening in this agency, and we will make it public. We are going to be 100% transparent, unlike how the agency has been run—hiding information, deleting information that had been published. Michael Pack did a great job. He released incredible information. They took it down, but we are restoring it.

You have to ask yourself, Steve, if this small agency wasn’t so important to the 'deep state,' why did it take them three and a half years to get Michael Pack in? They delayed his appointment. And when they finally put him in, the very first person Joe Biden fired in the government when he won the election—the very first person he fired—was Michael Pack, the CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media.

Kari Lake has exposed serious irregularities in the administration of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), highlighting a pattern of corruption, waste, and misuse of public funds. After being appointed as a senior advisor and beginning her investigation, she discovered that the agency was hiding information, deleting previously published records, and operating with a complete lack of transparency.

One of her main findings was excessive spending on software licenses and media subscriptions, many of which were never used. She also uncovered an alarming duplication of government credit cards, with twice as many cards as employees, each with a $10,000 limit. Additionally, she identified irregular payments with no codes or justification, some directed toward contracts that should have already been canceled.

Lake has worked with a team of experts, including members of Doge and attorneys, to expose these abuses. She compared the situation to a crime scene and promised to make all findings public. She also criticized interference from the "deep state," pointing out how Michael Pack’s appointment was delayed for years and that his dismissal was one of Joe Biden’s first actions upon taking office.
