Chris Barber Verdict - Moved to April 3rd!

Last week we expected to get Tamara Lich's criminal verdict, but found out it was delayed until April 3. Her co-accused, Chris Barber, also had his verdict moved, and will likewise have his verdict released on April 3, 2025. Both Tamara and Chris are facing up to 10 years in prison.

What a long 3 years of delays to finally have their "day" in court, which turned out to be many, many days, spread out over multiple years!

For those who haven't heard of Chris Barber, he is a Canadian Trucker Convoy hero from Saskatchewan, who was one of the main leaders at the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa over 2 years ago. Chris owns a trucking company in Saskatchewan, and his truck Big Red, seen in the photo below was an iconic part of the Convoy in Ottawa.

He is fighting 7 charges, and is being tried along with Tamara Lich in Ottawa. The Crown is asking for an unbelievable 10 years in prison. What was supposed to be "only" a 16 day trial, has ballooned to 44 days of trial. While some of Chris's extensive legal bills are covered, a big chunk of it falls on his shoulders, including his travel costs too and from Ottawa for the multiple legs of the trial (that keeps growing).
