You will learn the history of the church, and religious freedom in Virginia as we walk the highlights of Christian history path to the church. Known as the ghost church of Virginia, Polegreen was the home to Samuel Davies a famous Virginia preacher and mentor to Patrick Henry. Davies was a man before his time and his belief in teaching free and enslave blacks to read so they could teach others meant a better life for everyone. Samuel Davies will give Patrick Henry the ability to voice and drive the need for liberty. Freedom of religion and the right to choose your leaders or remove them rested solely with the citizen.
