Easy to Make Wooden Serving Tray

In this video I make a wooden serving tray out of Eastern White Pine 1x8 stock, and Red Oak 1x1 stock and Red Oak trim I made. I made some Red Oak trim pieces with the router table from an earlier project and used Red Oak to finish out the end pieces for a breadboard look. I used twisted stainless steel wire handles.

Sorry in advance for all the sanding footage and the odd zoom. I did not get as much recording footage from the build as I would have liked. User error most likely, as the camera I was using shut off the recording with no notification and it was zoomed in an odd way while recording. Normally I don't have it locked in a zoom when I start a new project, unless I am carving, but this project was kind of spur of the moment and I didn't go through my normal setup. And the sanding was most of the build.

I used a biscuit jointer to keep the boards indexed while gluing up. I used number 10 biscuits and Titebond glue. I used an air brad nailer 18 ga to set the trim pieces on the top and bottom while the glue cured. I finished it with a water based urethane and wax.

All music is from my Album Two Guitars, One Mind.

As always, enjoy all things In My Purview!
