As election observers, Tim Hazelo and Tracy Abuhl were at the Island County Election site as Republican Party observers of the process of the vote count. Following a rule that was made up on the spot, they defied the required to be imposed on them solely for a masking requirement and were made to appear in court for Felony Charges.

The appearance has been one of pleading not guilty including on three charges brought against Tracy as she is running to be the Island County Chair of the Republican Party but is undergoing this case in court after a district superior judge has run through multiple courts in both Island and Whatcom Co only to end up here with many judges themselves being removed from hearing the case. These were as many as two and counting that were asked then rebuked in any attempt to accept the case to be heard by them.

Tim Hazelo has also come to be a part of the court proceeding as he has also been faced with a charge in the same location, though he has had more flair for speaking upfront with the media than others that have been in the same court room.

The case was looked to be resumed on March 25th following a routine court assessment and determination of competence to stand trial for the both of them.

Dozens of people were gathered to support Tracy and Tim as they took on the case load which included a 100+ listing of pages which were to be examined and signed/agreed upon by the next day after the court appearance took place.

This was recorded in Island County in Washington State on March 17th, 2025 at 1 30 pm. This was held in Coupeville, WA in March.
