New Zealand beat Pakistan by 5 wickets!!

Pakistan Tour of New Zealand 2025:-The 2nd Match of 5 Match T-20I series was played between New Zealand and Pakistan at University Oval, Dunedin New Zealand on 18th March,2025. In this match New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets. In this match New Zealand Captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and opted to bowl first.Pakistan while batting first made paltry score of 135 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 15 overs and gave target of 136 runs to New Zealand to win. In reply New Zealand scored 137 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 13.1 overs and won the match easily by 5 wickets.The toss was delayed due to rain and wet outfield conditions and subsequently match was reduced to 15 overs per side.Pakistan while batting first started very poorly and lost 5 wickets cheaply at the score of 76 runs in 9.2 overs. Hasan Nawaz was first to go without scoring in the very first over of the match bowled by Jacob Duffy caught by Mark Chapman.Then Ben Sears removed Mohammad Haris who scored 11 runs caught by Jacob Deffy.Irfan Khan was out on the fourth ball of seventh over of the match caught by Ben Sears of the bowling of Ish Sodhi. He scored only 11 runs.On lastball of the same over Ish Sodhi sent back Khushdil Shah 2 runs from 2 balls caught by wicket keeper Mitchell Hay.Then Captain Salman Ali Agha with Shahdab Khan tried to consolidate the innings and added 24 runs for the fifth wicket. But Ben Sears then removed Salman Ali Agha caught by Mark Chapman after top scoring with 46 runs from 28 balls which include 4 fours and 3 sixes.Shahdab Khan contributed 26 runs caught by Daryl Mitchell of the bowling of Jacob Duffy and Pakistan were reeling on 110 for 6 wickets in 11.5 overs.Jahandad Khan went out without scoring, Shaheenshah Afridi remained not out on 22 runs and Haris Rauf was run out on the last ball of the match at his individual score of one run. Pakistan scored 135 runs for loss of 9 wickets in 15 overs.All the New Zealand bowlers bowled superbly and two wickets each were taken by Jacob Duffy,Ish Sodhi, Ben Sears and Jimmy Neesham.Haris Rauf was run out.Pakistan gave winning target of 136 runs to New Zealand.New Zealand while Chasing target of 136 runs to win scored easily 137 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. New Zealand openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen bulldozed the Pakistan bowling and added quickfire 66 runs in 4.4 only for the first wicket and sealed the win for New Zealand.Tim Seifert was first to go out caught by Shaheen Shah Afridi of the bowling of Mohammad Ali after scoring 45 runs from 22 balls only which include 3 fours and 5 sixes.Finn Allen was second to go after scoring 38 runs from 16 balls hitting 1 four and 5 sixes.
