Flight Mishaps DEI Avoidance - From a Former Aerospace Physiology instructor's perspective

I've flown single engine aircraft; a variety of Cessna's and a Piper Cherokee. Both styles of aircraft have their bonuses and negatives, but ultimately are incredibly easy to fly. In addition to my flight time/experience, I've taken college classes on aviation science which included, but not limited to; aerodynamics, aircraft systems and structures, aviation law. As many, the imagination of becoming a pilot has been with me since my youth, but it was my time in the military and training pilots and flight crews (and some units that don't exist - spooky ghosts) which emboldened me to KNOW I could be a pilot.
All of that, with the links above, I include, I won't fly commercial. I'd rather fly a homebuilt lawnmower with wings than put my trust and faith in today's commercial aviation and maintenance crews.
