We discuss the ins and outs of divination and various methods used in the past and presently.

Frequently we view the common methods of divination in the past as "weird" while we almost don't even recognize that we ourselves practice many methods of divination in our daily lives. We unfairly treat our ancestors because they couldn't look at girls on Instagram for 24 hours a day while our bone density falls off a cliff. So they must have been stupid, and their methods of divination were so silly and backward, while ours (Poor design of experiments and drag and drop linear regression code wielded by ignorant sociology majors) are sOOOOoo valid.

We discuss a very interesting diagram of the hand showing the famous numerical pairing of 12 and 3 as the bones of the hand.

Finally we discuss numbers and Pythagoras.

And we learn through a brave and stunning object lesson about ignorance.

As I horribly butcher the pronunciation of the word tetractys tho I supposedly studied math in college. Yet through my ignorance and shame, the diad, the mother of wisdom has now granted me the ability to pronounce the word Tetractys correctly for the rest of my life.

Most the content of this episode comes from Manly P. Hall. Which we will hopefully be discussing him again in tomorrow's episode.
