Mayor and CAO Shield Lying Staff — And Now They’re Coming After Me! (Again)

At the last council meeting, I called out a director for lying to council and the public — multiple times. My solution? A motion to hold staff accountable with penalties for misleading the public and Council. But instead of addressing the lies, the Mayor and CAO pulled all staff from attending meetings for the month of March to "protect them." Now the Mayor is trying to silence me by ruling my motion out of order — even though it’s procedurally sound. This isn’t democracy — it’s authoritarianism.
