Cancelled Philosopher comments on "The Future of Religion," by Richard Rorty and Gianni Vattimo. Rorty was a 20th century atheist Pragmatist, while Vattimo is a Contemporary Catholic philosopher. Heidegger was a 20th century phenomenologist who studied metaphysics and ontology. Nietzsche was the famous 19th century Existentialist. Rorty describes Heidgger's process of changing his conception of what he called Being, which effectively disproved Nietzsche's theory of metaphysics.
