The bill's introduction follows public outbursts from prominent Trump critics, including former CNN host Don Lemon, who recently declared, "I don’t think you can be Black and a rational MAGA person." His remarks, widely condemned as divisive, were dissected on The Five, where Greg Gutfeld argued that anti-Trump hysteria is more about damaged egos than political ideology. “They can’t stand that Trump matters more than they do,” Gutfeld said. “It’s not about Trump—it’s about their own irrelevance.”

Judge Jeanine Pirro took the discussion further, pointing to irrational hatred toward Elon Musk as another symptom of political hysteria. “People who claim to support environmentalism are ditching their electric cars just because they hate Musk,” she remarked. “Boeing probably has Trump Derangement Syndrome too, since they had to rely on Musk to rescue the astronauts they stranded.”

The bill, if passed, would officially recognize TDS in Minnesota’s legal definition of mental illness and recommend its inclusion in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). According to the bill’s draft language, the condition is characterized by “an organic disorder of the brain” and “a significant disorder of thought and mood.”

While the proposal is unlikely to be signed by Minnesota’s Democratic governor, it has reignited conversations about the extreme emotional reactions many on the left continue to have regarding Trump’s presidency. “The symptoms are clear: uncontrollable crying, cursing at the sky, and an obsessive fixation on deprogramming Trump supporters,” Pirro quipped. “They wanted us in re-education camps. Maybe we should return the favor.”
