TRUMP'S Latest Gaza Proposal Sparks EVEN MORE OUTRAGE!

Right, so the idea of forcibly displacing the entire population of Gaza is not only a violation of international law but also a moral abomination. It is bad enough that this is what the big orange bloater that passes for a President of the United States wanted to do, send the population of Gaza off to Egypt and Jordan so he could turn Gaza into yet another garish Trumpian eyesore. But this plan fell through, Egypt and Jordan said no, Trump pushed back a bit, trying thuggery and bullying, because it’s all he’s got, but after they pushed back it seemed the idea was dying down somewhat, that he had given up on the idea and was letting Egypt take their plan forward, even as Israel remained firmly latched onto Trumps idea, creating their ethnic cleansing department of government to oversee the relocation, even though there was nowhere to relocate these people too, all the illegality of the matter aside. But it seems the idea hadn’t died so much in Trumps mind, he just needed a new location to send these people to and as it turns out, Trump turned his attention to East African nations, notably Sudan, Somalia, and Somaliland. Just like before though, this new plan, which still very much reeks of ethnic cleansing and colonial arrogance, has been met with widespread condemnation and rejection, not least from these 3 newly proposed destinations. The fact that these nations, many of which are all mired in conflict and instability right now, also speaks to the absurdity and cruelty of Trump’s vision and that despite claims they would great new homes and would never want to go back to Gaza, that’s quite obviously isn’t the case either. Little Donnie still can’t get his way and he absolutely hates it.
Right, so Donald Trump is still trying to deport the population of Gaza it seems, even as more and more support for Egypt’s plan to rebuild Gaza gains more support.
With the Gaza Strip facing ever unprecedented destruction and humanitarian crisis due to ongoing Israeli military operations and refusal to engage in the ceasefire process, resisting moving onto the previously agreed phase 2 still, leaving the entire matter in limbo. Trump saw an opportunity to advance his vision of a “solution” to the crisis by saying the US will take Gaza and he’ll find lovely new homes for the Palestinians people, even though he hadn’t bothered to actually ask them what they wanted, wasn’t fazed when it became clear they weren’t going because all he saw was dollar signs for himself and the people of gaza as an obstacle to be overcome. Israel of course loved this idea and have put together a whole new department of government to facilitate the forced migration of the Gazan population. As we now know though, Trump’s initial plan involved pressuring Egypt and Jordan to accept Gazan refugees, but both nations firmly rejected the proposal, citing the destabilising impact it would have on their countries, citing the illegality of the matter and not wishing to be party to Trump’s ethnic cleansing plans and the violation of Palestinian rights that went hand in hand with that.
Well despite apparent claims to the contrary, it seems Trump has remained undeterred, despite Egypt putting forth a far more credible and more importantly legal option to rebuild Gaza for the people who’s land it is, as Trump turned his attention to East Africa, targeting Sudan, Somalia, and Somaliland as possible new destinations for the people of Gaza. This doesn’t change anything: it is still illegal, it is still a violation of international law, it is still utterly immoral and it clearly hasn’t sunk into Trump’s thick skull that to forcibly displace over two million people from their homeland and send them to countries, who in this case are already grappling with poverty, conflict, and political instability, is even worse than what he proposed previously. It hasn’t entered his head still, that this isn’t going to happen.
Of course we can’t pin all of this on Trump, the collusion between the Trump administration and the Israeli government in this scheme cannot be ignored either. Israel have been enacting apartheid on the Palestinian people living under their occupation since 1967 have been slowly seizing more and more territory illegally, especially with the settlements in the West Bank, more of which have been signed off on. Thos same politicians in Israel, your Bezalel Smotrich’s for instance, their involvement in the plan to deport Gazans is part of a broader strategy to permanently alter the demographics in the region all in the name of their own national security, but then with buffer zones established illegally in other states like Lebanon and Syria right now, even if Gaza were cleared, Israel wouldn’t stop there. The Greater Israel Plan would push on.
The Israeli government’s support for Trump’s plan is not merely opportunistic therefore it is all part of this perverted ideology. For decades, hardline Israeli politicians have advocated for the transfer of Palestinians as a means of securing Zionist demographic dominance in historic Palestine. Trump’s proposal provides international legitimacy for that, even though its Trump and unless you’re a lobotomised MAGA hat sporting numpty who’s capacity for critical thinking is around the same level as an earthworm, you should be thinking twice about that since it stll flouts international law and human rights norms.
The response from those East African nations has been unequivocal. Sudan, Somalia, and Somaliland have all rejected the proposal to resettle Gazans, with Sudanese officials describing it as “unthinkable” and “inhumane.” Sudan’s foreign ministry issued a statement condemning the plan and reaffirming its commitment to the rights of the Palestinian people. Similarly, Somali leaders have dismissed the idea, emphasizing their own struggles with conflict and displacement.
The rejection by these nations is, obviously the correct reaction, a significant blow to Trump’s plan because it isn’t a plan, it’s a war crime, but it also highlights the absurdity of the proposal even if you were to just take it on face value. Sudan, for instance, is in the midst of a brutal civil war that has displaced millions of its own citizens as I covered in a video the other day. Somalia and Somaliland are similarly plagued by instability, Somaliland having split away from Somalia with ongoing conflicts and humanitarian crises. The idea that these countries could absorb over two million Gazans is not only impractical but also deeply cynical. It reveals the extent to which Trump and his allies are willing to disregard the well-being of both Palestinians and the people of East Africa in pursuit of their geopolitical goals.
It is also worth noting I think how all three of these nations have coastlines on the Red Sea and or Gulf of Aden and how uncomfortably close that might put them to the areas of conflict. I’m thinking how close all three are to the reach of the Houthis in Yemen for example and what they might think of any of these nations aiding and abetting Israel, but the fact is, all are Muslim national, all are in or near the Muslim populated Sahel region of north Africa, they were never going to agree to this even if these nations were stable and in peacetime.
The failure of Trump’s East Africa plan has not deterred him or his Israeli allies. Instead, all it has actually done is expose their desperation – for Israel to be rid of people they see as subordinate and second class and in Trump’s case driven by greed.
This desperation is a reflection of the ever growing obvious moral and political bankruptcy of the Trump administration. By targeting countries that are themselves in crisis, Trump and Israel demonstrate a callous disregard for the lives of both Palestinians and others also living through conflict. If it was considered inhumane and appalling to forcibly displace the people of Gaza before, the willingness of Trump and Israel to consider sending Gazans to another war-torn region underscores the inhumanity of their plan, that the welfare of the Gazan people was never a genuine concern and the lengths to which they are willing to go to achieve their objectives which are totally unworkable, illegal and can never come to pass.
The creation of Israel’s migration administration further underscores their particular depravity here because despite the fact Trump’s plan cannot work without a place to send the people of Gaza, even if it weren’t illegal from its inception, they’ve pushed ahead with this new department anyway. This body was created with the single, explicit goal of facilitating the forced deportation of the Gazan people, is a blunt tool of ethnic cleansing. Its existence is in and of itself a glaring failure by the international community to hold Israel accountable for their actions. It’s literal existence is a confession of Israeli war crimes.
Therefore, as too many of our governments fail to hold either the Trump administration, or the Netanyahu administration to account, we must not remain silent in the face of further egregious violation of human rights and further attempts to continue with more of them. We must continue to speak out against Trump’s plan and demand accountability for those responsible, never forgive, never forget. Governments; legal institutions, the UN and other various organisations from human rights to advocacy have a responsibility to speak out against and investigate these actions and take appropriate measures to prevent their implementation and hold those responsible for the war crimes there is already a far too long list of, to be held to account.
At the same time, it is essential to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice and self-determination. This includes advocating for an end to the Israeli occupation, the lifting of the blockade on Gaza, the lifting of the aid blockade on Gaza which is right now still in place as well and causing immediate harm and the recognition of Palestinian rights under international law.
Donald Trump’s plan to deport the people of Gaza is a moral and political failure. It is a testament to the cruelty and arrogance of a man who will only ever prioritise his own interests over the rights and dignity of others. The collusion of the Israeli government in this scheme is equally reprehensible and a day of reckoning must come for him as well as Netanyahu and Co.
