Ozark Highlands Trail - Lake Ft Smith to White Rock Mountain

Solo backpacking trip on the OHT after a snow Feb 22-23 of 2025. I left the TH at 1300 hrs, camped at a perfect spot at sundown furnished with rock chairs and tables approx 8.3 miles. Sleep in with a cozy down mummy bag, started stepping off miles around 1000 hrs, great spot at mile 12.2 for lunch and popped out at White Rock Mountain by sundown, weary and sore, and only 30 minutes after the General Store closed. Ole Ross hooked me up with Cedar Puck firestarter, stash of wood, and all was well! Mr Sullivan picked me up the next morning and ran me back to my ride.
