There is positional component to Cleansing, Rachats (7634) in that when we are connected to Jesus Christ, we come under His covering as in a wedding, as He cleanses us positionally of all sin, past present and future, with an ongoing permanent cleansing, like a full body wash. Of course our feet (experience) need cleansing daily, our conscience and mind, but positional, our new status before Him is... “clean”.
