Day 3 Sibling Rivalry: Baby Egrets Get Fed… and a Snake Surprise!

Day 3 at the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary brought some action-packed moments to the nest! I arrived just in time to witness the baby egrets getting fed, but with food comes the usual sibling rivalry. Our little underdog cowered on the side while its siblings ate… until a wild twist at the 3-minute mark—a parent regurgitated a snake right into one chick’s mouth! For the next 10 minutes, the chick battled to gulp it down. Then, at around 8 minutes in, our tiny friend finally found the courage to join the fray, scavenging some scraps from the nest’s bottom.
