President Donald Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act for the first time since World War II, granting himself sweeping powers under this centuries-old law to deport people his government accuses of supporting dictatorships. He also prohibits citizens of certain countries from entering the United States.
Want to know which countries are on the red list? Well, leave your like, because here it comes!
These include Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen, according to information published by The New York Times.
But! There would also be an orange list, with countries that would have restricted access, and a yellow list, which would allow the review of some citizens of affected countries. To which Immigration attorney John de la Vega explains: “If it becomes official, the State Department provides guidelines; in the case of countries on the red list, it is very likely that their citizens, even with nonimmigrant or student visas, will not be able to enter the country.”
