Did Speaker Mike Johnson forget $1.1 Billion in the Budget? * March 14, 2025

Friday, March 14, 2025 - The very last thing the Senate did before breaking for vacation after passing the CR budget bill was to pass an amendment to the bill to give $1.1 billion to Washington D.C. -- Republican #SusanCollins sponsored the bill with 4 Democrat co-sponsors. They said it wasn't included in the House version of the budget because it was overlooked, a mistake and an anomaly. They said President Trump and House Republican Tom Cole supported this amendment. It was done after the amendment to strip out the #USAID fraud was defeated, and unlike the other amendments to the bill, there was no roll call vote, just a quick unanimous voice vote. It was all very odd! And Why wasn't Senate Majority Leader #JohnThurne at the gavel? Plausible deniability?
