Ravana Falls in Sri Lanka

Ravana Falls is a famous waterfall in Sri Lanka, located near the town of Ella in the Badulla District. It is considered a beautiful waterfall with a height of about 25 meters (82 feet) and is rarely divided.

Importance of Ravana Falls
• Ramayana story and connection:
According to the Ramayana story, the Ravana cave where King Ravana had taken Sita Devi when she was abducted is located near Ravana Falls.
• Tourist attraction:
Many tourists are attracted to this waterfall due to the beautiful environment around it. Especially during the rainy season, it can be expected to flood and become dense.
• Environment and water:
It is located on the Uyanawatta Oya, and is surrounded by a beautiful mountain range and botanical organization.

If you are there, it is best to go during the rainy season (April - September) as the water can be scarce, especially during the dry season.
