MEDITATION: Open Your Eyes and Fight

STAY IN THE FIGHT! DO NOT QUIT! DO NOT BE AFRAID! DO NOT GIVE UP!

Fight what needs to be fought. Kill what needs to be killed. Love what needs to be loved. Hate what needs to be hated. Quit what needs to be quit. Honor what needs to be honored. Learn the ways out of being lost.

Sometimes we make love to strangers
Sometimes we make enemies of friends
Sometimes we run towards danger
Sometimes we chase what should end
Sometimes we use Band-Aids for bullet wounds
Sometimes we break what we built
Sometimes we kill our love softly
Sometimes we birth our own guilt
Sometimes we hate light and not darkness
Sometimes we believe what we couldn’t
Sometimes we blunt our own sharpness
Sometimes we do what we shouldn’t
Sometimes we are what we should be
Sometimes we hope it will end.
Sometimes the truth will terrify
all of the timid men.
