NYC Homeless Man Eating a Rat

I found this video very frustrating, not for the focal point of a homeless man eating a rat, but for the open disdain expressed by the pampered child recording the event. What should a person who has lost everything do? Perhaps slice his wrists in some far away and unseen place? I spend time with homeless people often, and I have found most of them to have stories that are not so far removed from those of many who are living on the edge of financial catastrophy in these difficult times. I beg of you, if you see someone in this dilemma, please offer help, large or small. Anything is better than mocking.
