The Golden Temple, also known as Hiranya Varna Mahavihar or Kwa Bahal, is a prominent Buddhist monastery in Patan, Nepal. Built in 1409, it is renowned for its golden appearance, which comes from its polished gilt copper roof rather than pure gold.

The temple is a significant cultural and historical site, featuring intricate carvings and elaborate ornamentation both inside and out. It is one of the most popular attractions in Patan, along with Patan Durbar Square.

The temple is small but it is still well worth a short stop to see.
