The Mahaboudha Temple, also known as Mahabuddha Temple, is located in Patan, which is part of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal.

It was built in 1585 and is modeled after the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India. The temple is famous for its intricate terracotta walls adorned with up to 9000 engravings of Buddha images.

The temple is sometimes referred to as "the temple of a thousand Buddhas" because a Buddha image is engraved on every terracotta tile that covers the stone structure.

The Mahaboudha Temple suffered some damage during the 2015 Nepal earthquake and has been mostly renovated after the earthquake . It is a significant cultural and religious site, attracting both tourists and locals.
