Dr Busby outlines the framework of a proposed study of increased cancer rates in Southern Iraq which he has been asked to advise on and help with. He studied cancer and congenital malformations in Fallujah in 2010, and published three peer review papers with co-workers, which identified Uranium weapons as a cause of the genetic effects leading to the health issues in Fallujah. He presented these results to the UN Human Rights Council in 2012 but nothing was done. Southern Iraq was bombarded with Uranium weapons in 1991 and 2003, and it might be possible to obtain proof that the contamination is the cause of the increased rates in cancer being found in the last ten years.
