Jesus, in three expressions, is how God is making Himself known to us in Scripture: The Lamb of God, The express image of God, The Son of Man.

Joseph was elevated as a ‘reward’ for persistence in faithfulness (typical of the redeemed’s test of faithfulness after conversion in Christ Jesus ‘…that the genuineness of his (our) faith may be found…’ (1st Peter 1:3-9… “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”)

Joseph then being faithful as a man and then being raised up to Pharaoh’s throne to rule and to save many, including his brethren is then typical of the Son of Man Jesus being the first ‘man’ resurrected from the dead… and raised up to the Father’s Throne, and that being in answer to the Father’s plans and promises in accordance with Jesus’ faithfulness and personal worthiness. (Philippians 2:6-11… “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him (to the right hand of the Father), and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Psalm 110:1… “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” 1st Peter 3:22… “Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.”)

Genesis 41:1… “…at the end of two full years…” of test and trial, in the 3rd year, Joseph was found worthy by God (“in the 3rd year” being comparable with the following prophecy of Israel’s restoration in Hosea 6:2… “After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” - this prophecy speaks to Israel’s restoration ‘at the end of 2000 years’ after their rejection of Jesus.). And on the 3rd year, Joseph was elevated to another’s throne to sit beside the Pharaoh, and according to Pharaoh’s desire, rule over all under him in his Kingdom. So Jesus, the Son of Man, in like manner, was raised up to the Father’s Throne 2000 years ago. (it was then when Israel was set aside/broken off {Romans 11}; and that being as foretold by Hosea until after two days/two thousand years, and in the third thousand year He has promised He will revive/restore Israel).

At Jesus’ Ascension, it was also appointed by God that the New Testament/One New Man redeemed are to be hid/sheltered/matured/Fathered and transformed believers that overcome the flesh/the old man, the world, and the devil, while remaining in Him, as continuing faithful followers of Jesus… being in this World but not of it (as they are positionally raised up in heavenly places -Ephesians 2). These are then according to Scripture, to be experientially raised up in the First Resurrection to sit beside Jesus on thrones with Him in His Millennial Kingdom as a reward/the prize for being an overcomer, having run the race legally by remaining in the faith (and that being before Israel’s promised restoration). (Revelation 2:26-27… “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even....
