On the 10th of March the 45th court hearing against Reiner Fuellmich took place at the Landgericht of Göttingen. A quick update by Kerstin Heusinger and Djamila le Pair

Fuellmich's lawyer Christof Miseré, who was supposed to start his final plea, had called in sick and Katja Wörmer, the leading defence lawyer, who was also not feeling a 100 percent, sped to Göttingen at the last minute, to improvise the next part of her final plea. The hearing lasted only half a day, due to Wörmer feeling increasingly unwell.

Wörmer, once again, went over context, accusations and facts. To anyone, listening, especially to those who have followed the case for some time, it is abundantly clear that the accusations against Fuellmich have lost all basis. Not so, however, to the five judges. Wörmer addressed the judges directly, at one point, in a desperate attempt to get a reaction, or question from them. They stared at her blankly.

Katja Wörmer also mentioned the fact that, increasingly, the defence lawyers seem to 'get hassled' by fines, threats and smears. Chat groups on Facebook and Telegram hatefully speak of Fuellmich, his lawyers and some of the people who report on his case, or support him, create images to ridicule and humiliate the targeted persons. The accounts seem to be connected somehow to the appellants, Justus Hoffmann and Antonia Fischer.

The next hearing will take place on 18 March, with the 47th and 48th hearing following on the 19th and 21st of March.

P.S.: Apologies for the bad sound quality. It was a noisy location and one of hoods did not fully cover one of the microphones.
