Miracle of Prophet Joseph (AS)

Asslamoalaikum sisters, brothers, friends and elders, Today in this series of videos of miracles and events of prophets and great religious figures, we are going to describe recount a hearttouching miracle and event, subject that

Prophet Yusuf (A.S.), was one of the noble prophets of Allah SWT. He was the son of Prophet Ya‘qub (A.S.) and was blessed with extraordinary beauty, wisdom, and the ability to interpret dreams. His life was filled with trials and miracles that demonstrated Allah’s divine plan, proving that patience and trust in Allah SWT always lead to success.

One of the first and most well-known miracles associated with Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) was his remarkable beauty. It is said that his face had an exceptional radiance, and he was one of the most handsome men ever created by Allah SWT. His beauty was so striking that when the women of Egypt saw him, they were so mesmerized that they accidentally cut their hands while peeling fruit. This incident, described in the Quran, shows the level of attraction and admiration that people had for him. However, despite his beauty, he remained humble and focused on his devotion to Allah SWT.

Another great miracle of Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) was his ability to interpret dreams, a gift granted to him by Allah SWT. Even from a young age, he had the ability to understand the meanings of dreams. One of his first dreams, which he shared with his father, was about the sun, the moon, and eleven stars bowing to him. His father, Prophet Ya‘qub (A.S.), immediately recognized that this dream had a deep meaning and warned Yusuf (A.S.) not to share it with his jealous brothers. This dream later came true when Yusuf (A.S.) became a high-ranking official in Egypt and his family bowed before him in honor.

Despite being loved by his father, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) faced jealousy and betrayal from his brothers. They plotted against him and threw him into a well, intending to get rid of him. However, Allah SWT’s divine plan was at work, and he was later found by a caravan of travelers who took him to Egypt. This was another miracle, as it marked the beginning of Yusuf’s (A.S.) journey toward greatness. Instead of perishing in the well, he was saved and taken to a place where Allah SWT would elevate his status.

In Egypt, he was sold as a slave and eventually ended up in the house of Al-Aziz, a high-ranking official. Even as a slave, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) was blessed with wisdom and good character, which made him beloved by those around him. However, another great trial came when the wife of Al-Aziz tried to seduce him. Despite being young and beautiful, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) remained steadfast and rejected her advances, choosing to stay loyal to Allah SWT. As a result of this incident, he was imprisoned despite his innocence.

While in prison, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) continued to demonstrate his ability to interpret dreams. Two prisoners approached him with their dreams, and he correctly interpreted them, proving his God-given wisdom. Later, when the king of Egypt had a troubling dream that no one could interpret, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) was called upon. He explained that the king’s dream foretold seven years of prosperity followed by seven years of famine. His accurate interpretation impressed the king, and he was eventually released from prison and given a high position in Egypt to manage the food supply.

The greatest miracle of Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) came when his long-lost brothers, who had once betrayed him, unknowingly came to Egypt seeking food during the famine. Instead of seeking revenge, Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) forgave them and revealed his true identity. His patience, faith, and trust in Allah SWT had led him to a position of power, and he was now able to help his family in their time of need. His father, Prophet Ya‘qub (A.S.), was also reunited with him, and his childhood dream was fulfilled when his family bowed before him in honor, just as he had seen years earlier.

Prophet Yusuf’s (A.S.) story is a powerful example of faith, patience, and the fulfillment of divine destiny. His miracles—his beauty, dream interpretation, survival against betrayal, and ultimate rise to power—demonstrate that Allah SWT’s plan always prevails. His life teaches believers that even in the face of hardship, trust in Allah SWT will always lead to success.

With this, we seek your permission until tomorrow, tomorrow we will describe The Miracle of Prophet Ayyub (A.S.): The Messenger of Patience. Allah Hafiz.
