“O Christ, Thou speakest bold in today’s Gospel—love thy enemies, pray for thy foes! Bishop Sheen proclaimed, ‘Love is not a feeling, but a Cross-borne choice.’ St. Charbel, who loved in silence, bids thee lift a prayer for one who hath wronged thee. Thou art called to be perfect as thy Father—hatred binds, but mercy frees thee. This Lent, let thy heart stretch wide, for love alone mirrors Him.”
