Karnataka: Woman and Her Companions Arrested for Assaulting KSRTC Bus Conductor in Pavagada

A dispute over littering inside a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus escalated into a violent altercation in Pavagada town, Tumkur district. The incident occurred when a woman, while disembarking from the Pavagada-Tumkur bus, left leftover betel nut inside the vehicle.

Upon noticing this, the bus conductor, Anil Kumar, reprimanded the woman and asked her to clean up. This led to a heated argument, which quickly turned physical. The woman and her companions allegedly caught hold of the conductor, dragged him out of the bus, and assaulted him.

Following the complaint lodged by the conductor, the Pavagada Police have arrested four people, including the woman. The entire incident was captured on a passenger’s mobile phone.
