AR-0138: A very early zombie film for the 2010s, this is a very surprisingly weak British entry in the genre, due to being [almost entirely] filmed in the bullhitsa format known as Found Footage.

Weeks after the United Kingdom was hit by a zombie plague, a small group of survivors, mostly British Army reservists stationed in a remote base, decide to leave their base and head to an evac point to leave [what in real life is going to become the future Islamic Emirate of Walestan] before the whole countryside is firebombed to oblivion. But trekking through the zombie-&-bandit-infested countryside might be a tad too risky for our brave boys and girls in the Service...

Found Footage was never a format I particularly liked, although there were some good movies made using it, for example the Spanish zombie series known as "[Rec]", and this sequel to a forgettable Found Footage indie zombie film ["The Zombie Diaries"] proves just as dull as dismissable. Plus there's a nasty assault scene involving the bandits forcing their way on the squad's female sniper that is just complete bullhitsa.

My Grade: D [Bad]
