Dausa, Rajasthan – A 25-year-old student, Hansraj Meena, was brutally killed after refusing to let three men apply color on him during Holi celebrations in Ralwas village. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at a local library where Hansraj was preparing for competitive exams.

Attack Captured on CCTV:
The accused, identified as Ashok, Bablu, and Kaluram—residents of Ralwas village—attempted to smear color on Hansraj, but he resisted. This led to a violent altercation, during which the trio kicked him, beat him with belts, and eventually strangled him to death. The shocking attack was caught on CCTV, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.

Protests and Demands for Justice:
In response to the murder, Hansraj’s family and villagers staged a protest with his body, blocking a national highway until early Thursday morning. Their demands included:

● ₹50 lakh in compensation for the family
● A government job for a family member
● The immediate arrest of the accused

Police Response and Security Measures:
Authorities assured the protesters that action would be taken, leading to the removal of the body from the highway. A six-member police team has been deployed to track down the accused, who were initially absconding.

The incident has raised concerns over festival-related violence, prompting police to strengthen security in sensitive areas to prevent similar clashes.
