It was almost 11 PM when I stepped into the elevator.

I just needed to go down to the first floor.

I pressed the button… and the elevator began to descend slowly.

Too slowly.

After what felt like an endless minute, it stopped.

The doors opened…

But it wasn’t the first floor.

Before me stretched a dark hallway, lined with cracked concrete walls and flickering lights.

The silence was heavy.

I pressed another button.

Nothing.

The panel was unresponsive.

The doors wouldn’t close.

Then, I heard footsteps.

Coming from the darkness.

My breath caught in my throat as I saw a shadow move at the end of the hall.

I wasn’t alone.

Without thinking, I frantically pressed the close button over and over.

The elevator took too long to react.

Just as the doors were about to shut…

Something ran toward me.

And the last thing I saw…

Was a pale hand slamming against the door at the very last second.
