Gavin Newsom’s ‘Hand Jive’: Gutfeld, Tyrus & Dr. Drew Mock Gov. Newscum’s Bizarre Gestures

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), March 13, 2025 — California Governor Gavin Newsom’s new podcast debut took an unexpected turn when Greg Gutfeld, Dr. Drew, and Tyrus mocked his excessive hand gestures, which stole the spotlight from his message.

Gutfeld opened the segment by quipping that Newsom’s hands are in constant motion while his ideas remain idiotic, adding that the podcast is available “wherever fine hair care products are sold.”

A clip was played of Newsom talking with Steve Bannon, but instead of dissecting his words, the panel focused on his wild gesturing, which looked more like a magician’s sleight of hand than serious discourse.

“What exactly is he trying to say here?” Gutfeld asked. “Is it some secret code to terrorists? A desperate plea for help? Or is he signaling the Los Angeles Angels to steal third base?”

Dr. Drew compared Newsom’s gesturing to street magic misdirection, saying the governor is always using sleight of hand—both figuratively and literally.

Then Tyrus delivered the knockout punch, joking that Newsom looked like he was negotiating with a deaf prostitute. He broke it down: “Go back and watch the tape. He’s literally going, ‘I want some of this, then you do some of this, I’ll do some of that back to you, and then we’ll do this, and then I’ll pay you and we’ll do it again.’”
