On March 13, 2025, the world is waiting for a major decision now in the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During a press conference in Belarus, Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed a ceasefire proposal submitted by Ukraine.

According to various reports, Ukraine facing increasing pressure in the conflict has finally agreed to a 30-day ceasefire.

As part of the ceasefire discussions, Russia has also reinforced its demand for the removal of economic sanctions imposed by European countries. Russian officials stated that any ceasefire should be followed by concrete steps from Western nations to ease economic pressure on Moscow. However so far, there are no signs that Europe is willing to meet these demands.

Meanwhile, Russian intelligence suspects that the 30-day ceasefire might be nothing more than a tactic by Ukraine to buy time, rebuild its forces, and restock its weapons supply with help from Western allies. Russian military analysts believe Ukraine could use this period to develop new strategies and maximize support from NATO and European countries.
