Dead to Self - Grieving the past, present & future versions of your life to carry your cross well

The simple truth is that humanity is short sighted, so naturally our faith has taken on aspects of the surrounding culture that can only see itself in the now.

But there was a younger you, and God willing a former you...but the Bible confirms events will unfold and occur suddenly, without warning or us having a say so.

The hope then for us now, is to walk in liberty - by exploring and experiencing the grieving and bereavement process now.

The younger you is dead, buried under time, work, revelry, distractions, vices and causes.

The current you is doing your best - aiming for a better outcome.

The future you is the thing of hopes and dreams, promise and wonder...with the possibility that none of it will pan out.

THEN, should you accept the call and mandate to be fruitful and multiply, what about grieving and bereaving the potential future for those you love? Those around you...?

Luke 9:23 is far deeper that most will allow themselves to dig, but it's time.

We're not going to over emphasize or postulate - we're going to rightly die to self, carry our cross and live for Christ as God intended.

Or not....the choice is ours.

Gather the men, let's press into what the Word is saying.

Those that have an ear, let them hear what the Lord is saying.
