Policeman vs. Fireman, Different Career Paths

This is actually a fairly old joke of mine; I used to open with it. The long version of things had me getting pulled over for speeding, and then talking my way into a bigger ticket by accidentally insulting the cop with this tale.

Always got a big laugh, too.

But, to stay on the good side of YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, you have to keep things under one minute.

How to do that?

Well, true story, I really did perform at a Christmas Party for firefighters.

(Or, if we’re not being gender neutral, firemen. Uh-oh, here come the cancel police!)

I told the joke at that show (to much success, because, come on… a joke about policemen at a firefighter event? That’s just a gimme.)

After telling it, I realized I could put it here, using the Christmas party as my opener.

And there you have it.
