Rep. Katie Britt demands Investigation into Dobbs Leak

Benny Johnson: "You are on this Judiciary Committee. Have you seen any of these documents about the January 6th bomb attacker?"

Rep. Katie Britt: "No, not yet. But obviously, I’ll be happy to come back if we get the opportunity."

Benny Johnson: "What about the Dobbs case leaker? Do we know who it is?"

Rep. Katie Britt: "Thank you. I mean, if you think about how quickly we found everything else, we should know exactly who it is. It’s not difficult. That building right behind me, the Supreme Court building, doesn’t house many people, as you can imagine. It’s a pretty small space. So it wouldn’t be hard to figure it out if they wanted to uncover it. And I really hope they do.

We need to make sure this stays on the agenda, Benny, because we deserve answers on this. Yes, they clearly know who this person is. They are hiding in plain sight. They are being protected by the federal government for some inexplicable reason."

Benny Johnson: "Are there any other documents you’ve requested from the Department of Justice under Cash Patel or Pam Bonnie? Any other documents?"

Rep. Katie Britt: "You know what, I’ll check and let you know. I know we have re-requested the documents we asked for under the previous administration and didn’t get answers on, especially regarding Section 1507, the U.S. Marshals, and the Department of Justice. We certainly want to know about the Dobbs case leaker. So we will be looking into that as well.

And anything else we request, I’ll be happy to update you, because I’m sure this is a new day. When we make these requests, we will actually get answers.

As you know, we’ve been working quite diligently here, getting these people in their positions. It’s exciting to have a functioning cabinet. I know we’ll have Elise Stefanik soon, but we’ve also started approving people for lower-level positions.

The results have been strong, just like today with Lee Zeldin starting the process to repeal the Lotus regulation. So that’s a good thing."
